When given a choice students become more involved. Choice boosts their engagement and motivation, lets them recognize and play to their strengths, and helps them meet individual learning needs. Flexible seating will be another way students in my classroom have a choice in how they learn. A flexible seating classroom is not your typical layout of rows of identical chairs and desks. Instead, there are different types of seating spread throughout the room. Students can choose the option they feel will help motivate them to learn. My project will give my students a choice. Adding flexible seating to my classroom wil help provide my students with a learning environment where they can be motivated to learn, grow, and thrive.
