Within my classroom we are developing our new world leaders. I practice Conscious Discipline techniques taught by Becky Bailey. My students live in a project neighborhood with shootings, coming to school hungry and families that must walk or take the bus to get to appointments/around. Thank God for Public Transportations. When students come to school we greet them with love and a feeling of being protected. Their needs are met with compassion. Families are supported, they are encouraged to continue their education and found jobs when they put forth the effort to do better for their families. The classroom is set up with learning materials that also encourages sharing or turn taking. Students are taught to think about the other person and treat them the way I want to be treated. We keep to a schedule so students have a inner sense of what's going to happen next. No surprises. I would love to add tablets to the class
