Students in our school need opportunities throughout the day to build a healthy body and mind. Many of our students need an opportunity to have a choice on where they learn in the classroom and flexible seating can support that! I am requesting pillows, bean bag chairs, and soft seats to allow students to have seating that moves with them around the classroom. My students love to be comfortable--especially during independent reading time! Sitting in a chair all day can be difficult - especially for students in 4th grade! Bean bag chairs, soft seats, and pillows will make focusing on learning much easier! Have you sat in a chair all day while working? Then, you can somewhat relate to what is asked of our students every day, all day. The standards must get taught, and there are times when students must sit. With different seating options, students can stay comfortable while they work. As their teacher, I desire for all of my students to feel comfortable while they learn!
