History Day is a National Competition based around a research project on a student's topic of choice. The resources we are asking for will supply our students with materials they need to make their projects stand out to judges and increase their chances of moving on to Regional, State and even National levels of the National History Day competition. We need posterboard, construction paper, acrylics and other supplies. This project allows students to pursue topics that are culturally relevant to them and share their projects, and oftentimes personal experiences, with peers and community members. Our school is 90% free and reduced priced lunch, and many of our students cannot afford to buy these supplies on their own. These supplies will help our students bridge the achievement gap and make this a more equitable project.
