I work with students every day who have experienced varying degrees of trauma. Mindfulness and yoga are amazing tools to help students who have, or are currently, experiencing trauma. These books will help provide the knowledge and experiences students need to better self-regulate, practice self-compassion, notice and accept their emotions, and increase their ability to focus and help strengthen their mind/body connection, all of which can be affected by trauma. In doing this work, students are able to be more fully present in school and in their lives, making it easier for them to learn, love and live more connected lives.

About my class
