Our classroom of 22 students is full of energy, eagerness to learn and hard workers. They have a joy and calmness when they enter school since over 60% of our population receives free and reduced lunch. My students this year are a unique group where they are high trauma students (homelessness, foster care, history of abuse, etc). We want our students not to be victims of their lives but instead, survivors.We do this by creating a safe, predicable and rigorous classroom that focuses on positive behavior support and goal setting.

About my class
