My special education students in both 6th and 7th grade should use TI 73 Graphing calculators but most of ours were destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. The TI 73 Graphing calculators are much easier to use for special education students who have a hard time remembering all the function/mode keys on the more advanced graphing calculators. Additionally, these calculators have a percent key that other calculators do not have. TI 73 Graphing calculators have fraction keys that enable the students to focus on solving the problem instead of the computation. Giving students the tools they need to be successful is key to students feeling and being successful!
