Thurston Elementary School is the home for over 500 students. We have a very diverse population from China, Japan, Korea, Poland and France. Several of my kindergarten students speak very little English and yet they come to school everyday anxious to learn, with a smile on their face. Ann Arbor, Michigan is their first taste of America. They are like sponges absorbing everything they see and hear. I want their short stay in Ann Arbor, to be a memorable experience that they can take home and smile about.
