Math manipulatives and materials enhance student's learning experience through hands on learning. Students have the opportunity to choose their activity. Allowing students to explore their curiosity and draw their own conclusions in their learning. Our classroom is split into different learning areas. One of the learning areas is science. The balls and ramps set would be used in the science area for students to explore and learn. The puzzles are used for both math (spatial reasoning) and also for content instruction. For a month we study different careers found in our community. The careers pack puzzle would be a huge supplement and growth opportunity for students! Pre-K students learn about patterns, number recognition, sorting, 1-1 correspondence, number representation, shapes, and critical math thinking. These materials allow for differentiation, so every student has access to new learning. A wide variety of materials allows each student to participate in math at their own level and in a way they can understand. Our students learn through experiences and hands on materials. When they have access to appropriate materials and activities the sky is the limit for their learning!
