Having 4 iPads to incorporate into our classroom will be so incredibly beneficial for my students. Technology is a tool that is to be embraced in the 21st century -- replacing "chalk" and pencil paper activities -- fostering innovative teaching and meeting the needs of a classroom comprised of digital learners! "iPads will help me to research and find out answers to questions that I have in class", and "iPads will make learning fun!", are just a couple of responses students shared. As a teacher, I see iPads as a vehicle to ignite interest, collaboration, and digital literacy. The majority of my students are gifted and need iPads for research, presentations, developing and answering open-ended questions, and practice in subject areas. Another thing about having iPads in the classroom is that it allows students to interact with each other and teachers by providing and receiving immediate, meaningful, and personalized feedback. The possibilities are endless and having this opportunity would mean so much to our class. Thank you for your time and consideration.
