Early intervention has proven to be the key to successful learning. As a teacher of 30 years, I have seen that progress occur as children are being enrolled in educational programs more and at an earlier age. My project will benefit my students as they learn through hands-on experiences that are inviting and fun. They will be able to develop fine motor and cognitive skills in small groups and center time while using these manipulatives. These new items I am wishing for will allow my students to choose from a variety of tools to assist them in becoming motivated to explore and enhance their language and literacy skills. The more practice my students get as they use these items, the stronger they will become in letter identification, letter sounds, and writing.
