I make it my greatest efforts to provide my students with an area to read and practice reading in my classroom. With your help I will be able to provide my class with comfortable carpet seating and comfy beanbags in the classroom to read. The students in my class love carpet time, their favorite part of the day is sitting on the carpet and listening to a story. I have some really great readers. First grade is very important, it's a time when reading skills grow and flourish. My goal is for students to learn and grow in all areas, reading in particular.
