My first grade classroom is in need of STEM materials! We are hoping to add building challenge kits and manipulative to engage students to use their imagination. All of the tools I am asking for will encourage exploration and collaboration. Being hands on is especially important for kinesthetic learners. Hands-on learning can also help students retain information. It is so important to work beyond worksheets and bring in as many materials as possible. Students will experiment through trial and error and row from their mistakes. The more opportunities I can give to the students for hands-on learning the more they will enjoy coming to school.
