My students learn in many different ways, and the environment plays a big part of that. By being able to offer softer lighting in my classroom will start to build a calmer learning space. I love to take advantage of natural lighting as much as I can, but for day to day procedures we need to have the lights on, and by being able to use light filters will really make a bid difference. Sensory seating will also provide my student's a place to sit and enjoy calming sensory, or provided sensory input during a lesson or story. Some of my student's need time to sit and reflect about how their day has been, and this tool could provide them with the calming sensory they are needing at this time. Also by being able to provide bouncy foot rest provides an appropriate fidget or sensory input that will help my students to learn and be able to concentrate on the lesson or activity, but be able to fidget with their feet. I know that these small changes in my classroom will make a huge impact on their overall learning environment.
