As a way to reward good behavior, students receive Habits of Success tickets for things like perseverance and showing respect. They get to cash these tickets in at our school store every other week. As a way to continue to encourage our students, we are looking for donations to help stock this store, such as snacks/drinks or little toys (Think: birthday party gift bag) that students enjoy. Some of our students actually chose to use their tickets before Christmas to get things for siblings as gifts rather than for themselves which was fun to see! For continued good behavior, students also have their names entered in a raffle where we’d love to have some larger prizes they could win, such as bikes. Students get so excited on Thursdays when they get a chance to spend the tickets they've earned on these fun prizes! They've been saving up their special tickets to put in the raffle drawing, as well. Since implementing this Habits of Success Store on a consistent basis in November, we've seen a drastic decrease in the number of discipline referrals at our school. It's so fun to reward students for positive behavior and encouraging to see how much they have bought into the process.
