I want kids to make interesting things and having opportunities to "travel" to places that they may never have the chance to see. Having 3D virtual reality tools means taking field trips that are impossible otherwise. We will go to Mars and the moon. We will go to China and national monuments around the world. We will be able to scuba dive to the depths of the sea and climb to the top of Mt. Everest. Students can dream up projects and I can show them places that directly connect to what we talk about in both our reading stories and our social studies units. Having the tools to create virtual reality projects for class will mean we can do something very unique and go beyond watching a video. Instead of JUST doing reading about these interesting places, we can create and experience content that will be immersive and personalized to our classroom.
