Ms. C's 9th grade reading scholars need your HELP! Servicing 175 struggling readers in a Title I school in which students come from a low-socio economic community is no easy task. Recent cut to state budgets have left our school and school district with little to no budget requiring that we go without or simply maintain our current resources. Faced with the task of preparing students to be college and career ready, my students face the challenges of being struggling readers. Our school's overall Reading proficiency is 26%. Many of our current Reading diagnostics and reading curriculum require the use of technology. With the lack there of, my students are without proper technology to access such programs. In an attempt to help my struggling readers as well as prepare them to become 21st century learners, I need your help in gaining them access to working technology.
