All students love to play drums. Whether students are "musical" or not, they can find success from playing a drum. I can create a variety of musical opportunities for students to explore sound, movement, timbre, and musicality through these hand drums. The benefit of these types of drums is that they are developmentally appropriate for young students as most children do not have the fine or gross motor skills to play a complete drum set. Hand drums also allow opportunities for multiple students to play at the same time giving them equal opportunities to make have a turn to music.

About my class
