Gaining two iPads for my class will enable my students to utilize the school-wide curricular programs in a way that makes sense to them. Many of my students do not have the gross motor skills to use a mouse with a computer or do not have the spatial awareness to click and drag using a mouse. This makes it difficult for them to demonstrate their knowledge using these amazing apps and programs that we use school-wide. When given the opportunity to access the program or app on an iPad where they can just touch the screen with their hand many of my kids can be successful in a program/app that on a computer they may find difficult or defeating. With iPads, my students will have the opportunity to learn interactively and demonstrate their skills and knowledge in a fun way.
