In the art classroom, it is important that students are engaged and learning about art from all around the world. I, as a teacher, strive to allow the students to explore and learn about various artists and art movements while also incorporating other subjects such as reading and writing skills or history into my lessons. By having an iPad mini, students would be able to type and submit their artist statements or their research projects using apps like Google Drive. Students could document their artwork and have online portfolios and even interact with art pieces using apps such as the Louvre Museum's app. Students would also be able to create presentations in class. I would love to incorporate more lessons that include writing and reading but without the help of technology, I will have to continue to use lots of paper. Having access to an iPad mini is very valuable in a classroom and can be a way of going green.
