The Ottomanson carpet promotes letters for reading. Students can lay on it when reading books. They will sit on it for whole group learning. They need to be able to sit comfortably and have their own space. I let my students sit how they are comfortable instead of all the same way. They focus more on the task at hand when more comfortable. The Playmate Rug gives my students a chance to be more imaginative when they build their block town. They can have better imaginative play. They can use better language and work through problem solving when building. This gives them a safe way to express themselves.
