My students crave organization and routines. I am requesting various items to help stock my classroom for another great year. I need a thermal laminating machine and laminating pouches to use for various classroom projects and to make name tags on desk more durable. Our pencil sharpener does not currently work and sharpened pencils are essential to a functioning classroom. Pencils will be stored in the pencil bags I requested along with other classroom supplies so that they students have the easiest access to the learning tools they need. The ink and labels will help me to keep their materials labeled and easy to access. Having their names on classroom materials will help my students feel more at home in our classroom and make our learning time more efficient. The Avery labels will used to help make this happen. A huge part of our classroom is sharing our learning and ideas with the class. My students will use chart paper and markers to help share with their peers. They will also use the fine tip dry erase markers to share their learning during Math small groups every day. Our writing program is very intense and the students love to be able to type their papers. They love it even more when I can print it out and display on beautiful colored paper! I will use the colored paper and card-stock to display their fabulous work! I have seen how these materials affect students' engagement in the classroom and I want to continue to be able to offer this opportunity to my class this year!
