My students need flexible seating, three SoftZone Kids Gaming Rockers, in order to have some degree of choice and control over their learning environment. Flexible seating encourages communication between students and supports collaboration and social emotional development. These chairs will make flexible seating within the library possible. Students will be able to move the seats around the library as needed. Students will be able to communicate and collaborate as they develop social and emotional skills. Middle school students can struggle at times with interactions with others. And flexible seating encourages face to face communication with others. Through this flexible seating we can create an environment of active, engaged, enthusiastic, and relaxed learners that enjoy the learning environment that they are in. We want students to see the library media center as an engaging but comfortable learning center.
