We are a group of diverse learners in a special education, self-contained, multi-categorical classroom ranging from Kindergarten age students to 3rd grade. Our classroom is about building skills to function in everyday society. The work we do in this classroom helps students build strong relationships, understand and deal with emotions, follow directions, and access general education content in different ways. As my students make gains in my classroom, they begin to try small chunks of the day with their typically developing peers. We celebrate little wins together each day!
