The hands-on materials and resources I am requesting will be used in many ways in our classroom. They can be used in whole group lessons and small group lessons, as well as individual practice. The materials I requested are fun learning manipulatives that will be used to teach and reinforce early literacy and math skills. The materials will also contribute to enhancing our classroom community but encouraging cooperative learning and "play" activities and promote engagement in learning activities. These donations will help my classroom by allowing the children to use the manipulative's during center and free choice time. They will not require an adult to do the activities for them, but learn to do them on their own. The children will become active learners and gain the confidence to work alone and with others. This will also give an opportunity for the children to learn about the many different ways they can classify.
