Giving students books that interest them and keep them from putting the novel down after a few pages is an integral step in making them better readers, students, and people. Students who are actively engaged with what they are reading on the page are much more likely to critically think about the actions of the characters, the plot of the story, and the themes that envelope the entire book. With having such an array of books, I know I can give a book to each student of mine that they can read, understand, and genuinely enjoy working through because it relates to their life in some way.
