Expanding our classroom library will allow more access to students for their daily reading. We have a group of students in our school who are new to learning English and the number of books we have to offer are limited. I also strive to grow our library with books that have characters that our students can relate to. Too often in school we provide our diverse students with mirrors vs windows and I want to work hard to change that. I want to provide avenues for my students to live through experiences in books that they have not had.
