My first graders love to use technology in our classroom! We use so many different educational apps and programs on the iPads and computers we have access to. The only problem? Not enough headphones to go around. This leaves students distracted and straining to hear their activity over the sounds of their classmates. Many parents were unable to send in headphones as a school supply due to the low-income nature of the school's population. I want to remedy this situation by allowing my students access to a class set of quality headphones. Imagine this; a classroom full of students focused on their work! Maybe reading a digital book, practicing math facts by playing a game, or working on a digital lesson. Technology is a great asset in my classroom. I want to make sure each of my students has the opportunity to grow their learning through the utilization of technology.
