Setting up a new counseling and guidance department at my school will ensure my students do not have to experience the limited world they currently face. They need to complete self-exploration activities, identify educational opportunities and examine career clusters to open their worlds to compete in the age of Millennials. We need everyday access to computers for use in the guidance department so we do not have to compete with the 850 other students ving for computer time. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are required to complete activities on-line each month which help them learn about their like and dislikes which in turn, will point them to the best education and career they can have. Through this process, I hope to help them love the job they will have so they don't have to "work" a day in their lives!
