Students love to learn about what they eat! These materials, the raised garden bed, soil, and seeds, will help get our garden started! Growing herbs will give the students a chance to use their senses to smell, feel, and taste the benefits of growing their own food. I think the raised bed will make it easier for students to work in the garden and having the starter pots will allow students to watch their seeds sprout before putting them in the garden. Herbs are great for students to start with because they have such great scents and can be brought inside and kept year round.
