Everyone wants to be a part of a club, but not everyone wants to join a book club. However, this club will be different. Why? Because it is using The Crossover by Kwame Alexander. This book is written in verse with language that our children can connect with. I have read this book aloud to many students before and they want to take the book home with them. Then they will ask if there is another book like it that they can read. They are interested and because it is written in prose, children are not overwhelmed by the amount of text on the page. This book is a game changer, a life changer. Every kid deserves the opportunity to fall in love with a good book. This is the book. I am asking for twenty copies of the book for my book club.
