This project would be so beneficial for my students! In an ever increasing technology driven world, having knowledge and fluency in tech terms and workings, will always be a benefit. Being in a small town in the Central Valley, these opportunities are not always easy to get to. This project and projects continuing from this, will open up amazing worlds for my kiddos! Many of my kids could never dream of doing something like this! The 3D printer will give my students an opportunity to create STEM experiments and art projects like never before! From cutaway models of the Earth, to creating dinosaur bones and fossils, to studying weather patterns and modeling and creating a hurricane in your hands, this printer will help bring concepts that we learn to life for my students. We can create models like these and art projects that have no confines of creativity, that students will remember. Bringing this into everyday "core" academic subjects will make it all the better for retaining information and keeping our learning fun and upbeat!
