Arabi is a traditional public school serving students of widely diverse back rounds in a high poverty area. This is a strong community with rich culture and pride in our traditions. As the music teacher, I strive to teach students about the importance of local musical culture and broadening to incorporate music from around the world. Students play keyboards, sing, dance, play percussion instruments and learn to read and write music according to the National Core Arts Standards for music.
