Our project will help provide needed materials to enhance our opportunities to engage in science in our classroom. With little to no outside access to technology, we would love a laptop to explore and investigate the effects energy has on our daily lives. The more interactive students are within this content area, the more engaged they will be and eager to continue learning beyond kindergarten. I want my students' passion to learn to drive their inquiry in science. Not only will this help with students' exploration and investigation, but it will allow them to work hands on to better grasp big understandings, such as energy and ways to sustain it, while strengthening critical thinking for future projects and problems. This will also help support English Language Learners by providing visual learning along with auditory and kinesthetic approaches. My kids love to be engaged and really enjoy how fun school can be. Science is an integral part of our daily lives and at a young age, it is important for my children to understand the presence of energy. By using a laptop, students will learn about energy and its effects by interacting with activities and games. With better understandings, students will grasp the importance of energy and the issues with sustaining it, while working together to come up with solutions and ways to make positive impacts in their own environments.
