Having varied books of different subject areas will excite my students. When my students are able to read books that are their reading level, they grow in their confidence and are able to practice their decoding and comprehension skills. It is important for me that my students see themselves reflected in the texts they read. I have chosen books that my students will be able to make connections to and relate to. By donating to my project, you will help ensure that my first graders have a classroom library that will be instrumental in helping grow their love of reading. With quality and engaging texts, my students will be able to find many ways to practice their blossoming reading skills.
