In the honors biology classroom at Ashley Ridge High School, our students are constantly exposed to difficult content and ideas and often seek to find answers to questions. Students will use these laptops on a weekly basis practice and learn difficult material while also being able to research their questions. The laptops will not take the place of the teacher, but will provide the teacher with another method of differentiation in the classroom so all students have the ability to learn, practice. and seek answers according to their ability levels. Students will use a variety of programs including APEX Tutorials, USATestPrep, Pearson Inc., to practice skills and learn new information at the appropriate pace and level of the individual student. Students will also use the laptops regularly to research new information, seek answers to questions, and carry out scientific investigations. Virtual labs will also be utilized often for students to gather data and formulate conclusions on specific scientific phenomena when lab equipment, space, or resources aren't available.
