With use of electronic books, students will have access to a wide selection of books at home. Once they found a book/series they are interested in, they will be required to complete a book trailer, advertising and selling the book to peers. This will foster writing, summarizing, understanding of character elements, and genre studies. Students will also have the ability to work on public speaking skills and technology, using PowerPoint/video maker for the presentation. Students would have easy access to a wide range of reading levels and reading interests. With Kindles, students will be excited for the opportunity to read using the technology. We could also give students the opportunity to search through books in the comfort of the classroom.
