My children required modified and adapted reading materials to keep them engaged and aid in comprehension. The computer is an excellent tool for reading comprehension for my students. Speakaboos is an excellent program to aid in engaging students interractively in standard based reading material and curriculum. There are over 200 stories and songs to increase active participation. Speakaboos creates motivated, engaged and entertained readers. Autistic chlidren have a difficult time with focus and attention span, especially independently. Speakaboos helps to create independent, motivated, engaged students, who become active readers. Speakaboos also increases vocabulary, which is essential for our Autistic children.
