This project will take my students into the world of paleontology using a high interest novel " Jurassic Park" and scientific kits such as DNA extraction and Amber Fossil kits to allow them explore the different areas of science from geology to the world of biology. Projects like this one will provide my students with an opportunity to explore areas of science that are often overlooked in a "test" driven environment. It will help them discover and explore different STEM areas that may impact their future and lead to a passion for science and discovery. It will also provide them with an opportunity to explore more advanced reading materials.
