My students are growing up in a rural community which limits their opportunitities for diverse experiences. These activities will not only open a new door of learning for them but will also spark creativity and discovery. They will be learning in a way they want to learn, making their experiences more meaningful. The resources that I want to purchase for my classroom include a magnetic board that can be utilized in many ways. One way it can be used is with a magnetic center that allows students to manipulate paths to create mazes. This helps students figure out by trial and error using spatial skills. Another item I would like for my classroom is a sensory table. This table will be able to create sensory activities for students to learn and interact with. This will be able to be changed out monthly and used with literacy and math activities.
