My students love to read and learn about animals and I want to give them the opportunity to choose an animal to research, but I also want to ensure that I have enough books and materials. We know the importance of giving students choice in their work. By providing these sets of books about animals, students will be able to choose an animal that interests them to research for our nonfiction reading and writing units. The sets of books will give students the opportunity to research across multiple text. This will allow them to grow and build their knowledge about an animal. It will also aid in showing them how to research.
