My students are from a small rural town in Anacoco, Louisiana. Our town is minutes away from a military base, so I have a few students that belong to military families. I have one student who started the year out speaking no English. He is now fluent. My students showed great empathy towards his needs. I have a wide range of academic abilities. I have a few sped students and a gifted student too. Half of my students are on free lunch. I have a student that gets a backpack of food for the weekend and holidays.
