The favorite time of day for my students is literacy centers. It is an exciting time of day for them. Research shows that Kindergarteners brains are wired to learn through play. Having a variety of centers helps each and every student reach their potential. My students are learning how to read and play at the same time. The use of the "Mindful Kids: 50 Activities for Calm, Focus and Peace" card deck will help them remain calm and focused during this time and throughout the day. The addition of a listening center, books and the mindful card deck will help make literacy center time more meaningful. These items will help enrich my students' educational experience.
