Mr. Putter and Tabby are books my students fall in love with each year. We don't read them until the end of the year to go with our writing curriculum, but our school library can't keep up with the demands of them. The books on the list are books that my students love to have read to them. They love to have the opportunity to put them in their book boxes so they can reread them as well. It is fun to see my students sitting on the edge of their seats listening to the stories in our room. These books are the books that pull them into the story and keep them wanting more. Sometimes I feel when we do a read aloud, it is better than watching a movie in our room. They are very excited and don't want me to put the book down until it is completed.
