Students need to stay engaged with the learning materials in the class. By having a light table and the manipulatives that go with it will allow for sensory learning. There is a sensory table in the class that the students experience and love it. By using a light table, I know they will stay engaged while learning. By stimulating their senses, the light table will be used with the manipulatives for the student to interact with and develop their scientific minds. There are letters, numbers, shapes and textures for the students learn on top of the light board. It will be on the carpet so the students can lay on their stomach if they choose or sit up. I will add different learning materials with it to maximize the learning experience.
