These iPads will help improve my students mathematic skills and prepare them for their life after school! My students are visually impaired and these iPads will provide multiple possibilities for their academic progress in mathematics. My students learn from hands-on academics. iPads have opened a whole new world for visually impaired students. iPads are able to read all typed text to my students who often have difficulty reading small typed text that is presented to them in the classroom. They also have multiple apps that help enlarge written text and signs in their environment. My students LOVE math! Since they are often unable to see their environment like their peers, math facts are always a constant and they enjoy this constant. These iPads will be used daily to encourage the students to continue making progress in mathematics. They are currently learning about money, decimals, multiplication, and division. The iPads and apps available will be used to teach them financial literacy so they will be prepared for college and post graduate work. I plan to download applications (P2K Money, Savings Spree, Unleash the Loot, and multiple others) that will encourage their love of math to prepare them for the future. Learning how to plan to pay rent, bills, and other life expenses are critical skills my students need to start learning. The cases will ensure that the iPads will last throughout years for multiple students to learn and prepare for LIFE! The extended chargers will allow them to work at the tables in their classrooms without having to be constricted to a small space due to limited charger length.
