A Learning Carpet would be beneficial for my classroom because it would be a different way for students to learn. They enjoy being in their groups at their table, but whole group learning on the carpet would be beneficial for those students that need the movement and change within the lesson. I would use the carpet for whole group read aloud, as well as lessons in other subject areas. The students can also use the carpet for centers - it would be an alternate work space to their usual desks. Students, especially at this young age, need a variety of areas for learning.
