After ten years dedicated to special education and supporting other areas (including leading our school's theatre program), I made the formal switch to full-time theatre teacher, where I've also adopted teaching ELA classes. Teaching theatre at a STEM school is exhilarating, as we have some of the most creative, well-rounded renaissance kids in the entire district. However, it doesn't come without its challenges -- namely, the challenges of being an arts program at a STEM school, where the district determined we needed not working stage lights, stage monitors, or budget for productions. Donations will largely go to support student-run productions that otherwise rely on the kindness and fundraising efforts of our preceding year, as we continue to build this program. ***In the 2023-2024 school year, I will continue teaching Acting I, II, and we will add Creative Writing and Public Speaking!***
