We are currently in the process of creating a sensory room to allow our students to break down barriers on their education. Students are allowed to go into this room when they are having a bad day, feeling overwhelmed and when they need a break from their classroom. Students are encouraged to choose any activity that they feel would help their sensory needs. Using the bean bag chairs, stools, and bouncing balls, this will allow students to self regulate their sensory needs. The lamp of fish tanks will help students to relax and deesclate from a situation. With your help students will have the tools they need to create a barrier free learning environment for themselves!!! We are hoping to create a place that students see as an oasis at school when they need to decompress and relax during the school day. We are hoping with your help to enhance our sensory room to better meet the needs of our students.
