Our first grade students are from a Title 1 school. The area immediately surrounding our school is low income and high poverty, with limited outside resources. Our students face struggles inside and outside of school each day. My students have come from many different places, from many different and often difficult situations. Our students arrive to school at 7:30 am to get free breakfast before starting their rigorous day. We take pride in our first grade students wanting to learn new things and embrace each day, despite their everyday struggles.

About my class
